Troops Arrest Two Suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP Logistics Suppliers In Yobe, Recover Motorcycle Parts
Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested two suspected logistics suppliers of Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists in Yobe State and recovered large quantities of motorcycle spare parts and other items.
This is contained in a statement issued on Monday by the Acting Military Information Officer, Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East) Operation Hadin Kai, Captain Mohammed Goni.
According to the statement, the suspects were arrested on Tuesday, 8 September 2026, following credible human intelligence on the movement of logistics supplies destined for terrorists operating within the Yunusari-Mobbar general area.
Goni said troops of 159 Battalion under Sector 2 OPHK, in conjunction with other security elements, mobilised a fighting patrol and intercepted the consignment at Gumsa Bridge in Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State.
He listed items recovered to include large quantities of motorcycle tyres, crankshafts, oil seals, traffic indicators, acceleration and clutch cables, bearings, brake components, gaskets, piston kits, chains and sprockets, speedometers, clutch plates, rocker arms, CDI units, coils, rectifiers, fuel-related components and other motorcycle spare parts.
Also recovered were 145 pairs of footwear and 2 Tecno Android phones, among others.
The military spokesman said the suspects and recovered items have been handed over to the 27 Military Intelligence Regiment for further investigation and necessary action.
He said the successful interception represents another effort by troops to disrupt terrorist logistics networks and deny them critical supplies required to sustain their activities.
“The Joint Task Force (North East) OPHK remains committed to dismantling terrorist support networks across the North East Theatre. Members of the public are therefore encouraged to continue providing credible and timely information to security agencies to support ongoing counter-terrorism operations,” the statement added.
