Tinubu Sends High-Powered Delegation To Jingir Over Death Of Hafiz Bala Yusuf
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sent a high-level Federal Government delegation to Jos, Plateau State, to condole with renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Yahaya Jingir, over the death of Hafiz Bala Yusuf, popularly known as Ma’aji.
The delegation was led by Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, and included Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Masari, and the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Dr. Muttaka Rabe Darma.
The delegation visited Sheikh Jingir at his residence in Jos on Sunday to convey President Tinubu’s heartfelt condolences to the cleric, the family of the deceased, and the wider Muslim community.
Speaking during the visit, Governor Buni said the President was deeply saddened by the loss, describing the late Hafiz Bala Yusuf as a dedicated scholar whose contributions to Islamic knowledge and community service would be fondly remembered.

Members of the delegation also paid glowing tributes to the deceased and offered prayers for Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Jannatul Firdaus.
They prayed for divine comfort and fortitude for Sheikh Jingir, the bereaved family, students and associates of the late scholar, and the entire Muslim Ummah.
The visit, according to the Presidency, reflects the value President Tinubu places on Islamic scholars and religious leaders as partners in promoting peace, unity and national cohesion.
