“Anyone Who Promises To Bring Back Fuel Subsidy Is Deceiving Nigerians” — Rarara Fires Atiku, Says He Is An Outright Liar
Renowned APC political singer, Dauda Kahutu Rarara, has attacked former Vice President Atiku Abubakar over his promise to return fuel subsidy, describing it as deception and outright lies.
Speaking in an interview on Dan’uwa Rano TV, Rarara said Atiku knows he is lying and recalled that Atiku was the first to start selling government assets when he was in office.
“He is lying, I swear by God! Atiku was the first to sell government assets. Anyone who tells you that if he becomes President he will bring back fuel subsidy, that is politics. In reality, its name is deception,” Rarara said.
Rarara said while President Bola Tinubu is trying to repair national assets for Nigerians to benefit, Atiku has openly said he will sell NNPCL entirely to private hands.
“Compare someone who says he will sell off all these assets entirely and someone who says let us repair these assets so they benefit us as Nigerians. Which one is better? Which option preserves the dignity of Nigerians? One says everything should be handed over to private individuals,” he stated.
The APC campaign singer dismissed Atiku’s defence that his plan was only to concession non-functional refineries to private investors, insisting the former VP’s track record shows he will sell off everything.
Rarara further took a swipe at Atiku’s family, noting that Atiku’s own biological son has declared support for Tinubu because he understands Tinubu’s vision.
“Atiku Abubakar’s own son declared support for Tinubu. He understood Tinubu’s vision — Atiku’s own biological son! So how do you explain that?” he said.
He maintained that in all the reforms Tinubu has undertaken to rebuild Nigeria, he has seen no mistake, describing Tinubu as a leader who is not in office to accumulate wealth but to leave a legacy like Sardauna and Tafawa Balewa.
“He definitely will! One day, people will surely look back and say, ‘May God bless Tinubu for what he did for us,'” Rarara added.
