2027: Entire North Has Conceded 2027 To Tinubu, Looking Forward To 2031 — APC Chieftain Sola Ebiseni

APC chieftain, Sola Ebiseni, has said the entire Northern Nigeria has conceded the 2027 presidential election to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and is now looking forward to 2031.

Ebiseni stated this during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday, where he argued that describing the North as a monolithic bloc is a political mistake.

According to him, the political destiny of the Middle Belt is different from that of the North-West and the North-East where the current Vice President comes from, and that difference will play out in 2027.

He said from research conducted in the last two years, every zone in the North is looking forward to 2031 and has conceded 2027 to Tinubu.

When pressed by the interviewer on which state in the North Central would not support Tinubu and for what reason, Ebiseni maintained that the entire North Central, North-West and North-East have made up their mind for Tinubu.

On what the North is looking at as bargaining chip, Ebiseni said security remains the primary concern.

He admitted that President Tinubu did not create the insecurity in the North but noted that efforts made so far are not enough, stressing the need for state police as a structural reform.

Ebiseni queried how many other presidential candidates have publicly declared support for state police, noting that some are even talking about returning fuel subsidy, which he said would be detrimental to Nigeria.

“The North is no longer the monolithic North. The destiny of the Middle Beltans is different from the destiny of the North-West. It’s different from the destiny of the North-East,” Ebiseni said.
