2027: Come Out With Your PVCs And Give Us Mandate To Finish What We Started — Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged supporters to come out with their PVCs on January 16, 2027, to give him and Vice President Kashim Shettima the mandate to finish what they started.

“On January 16, 2027, come out with your PVCs and give Vice President Kashim Shettima and me the mandate to finish what we started. Your future is in your hands, and your fingerprints at the ballot will help determine it,” Tinubu said in a thank-you message to Kaduna after the flag-off of the APC 2027 Presidential Campaign.

Tinubu said three years ago Kaduna gave him the privilege of serving as President and on Saturday the city filled up again with hundreds of thousands from across the North.

“It was good to return with Vice President Kashim Shettima to a city that carries so much of our nation’s history. I remembered the founding leaders who gathered here before independence and prayed that Almighty Allah grants them forgiveness and eternal peace,” he said.

Speaking plainly, Tinubu said his opponents talk about hunger and poverty but created the problems his administration is working to eradicate.

“The subsidy racket, fraudulent invoices and fuel smuggling are firmly behind us, and there is no going back. We confronted what we inherited with courage and political will, and we are building an economy that rewards hard work and creates opportunities,” he said.

He acknowledged the hardship facing Nigerians: “I know the road has been hard. I hear you. Your sacrifices will not be in vain, and I will not rest until the progress we are making is felt in your homes, your businesses and your pockets.”

Tinubu also praised progressive governors for building roads, hospitals, schools and markets, supported by increased revenues from reforms, noting that salaries are being paid regularly.

He thanked Governor Uba Sani for a befitting start to the campaign.
