Borno: Operation Hadin Kai Neutralises 15 Terrorists In Precision Night Strike Near Pulka
The Joint Task Force (North East), Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), has neutralised 15 terrorists in a precision air strike north-west of Pulka in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.
According to a statement issued by Acting Military Information Officer, Captain Mohammed Goni, the operation was conducted at about 11:50 p.m. on 23 October 2026, following credible intelligence and confirmed sightings of terrorist movements in the general area of Pulka.
He said the precision strike was subsequently followed by ground operations to exploit the area and consolidate operational gains.
“The successful engagement highlights the effectiveness of intelligence-driven targeting and coordinated military action in disrupting terrorist movements and degrading their operational capabilities,” Captain Goni stated.
He added that the operation reflects the unwavering commitment of Operation Hadin Kai to denying terrorist groups freedom of action and preventing them from threatening communities within the theatre.
The Theatre Command said the operation forms part of its sustained offensive posture, supported by effective intelligence gathering and coordinated employment of available military capabilities.
“Operation HADIN KAI remains resolute in its mission to defeat terrorism and insurgency, protect law-abiding citizens and create the conditions necessary for the restoration of normalcy and socio-economic activities in affected communities,” the statement said.
The Theatre Command also called on members of the public to sustain cooperation with security agencies by providing timely and credible information on suspicious movements, noting that the partnership between the military and civilians remains essential to achieving lasting peace across the North East.
