2027 Gombe Guber: Ex-Aspirant Umar Bello Gombe Endorses Pantami, Donates Political Structure
A former governorship aspirant in Gombe State, Hon. Umar Bello Gombe, has declared his support for former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Pantami, ahead of the 2027 governorship election in the state.
Hon. Bello, a grassroots politician and philanthropist who contested in the 2019 governorship race, announced his endorsement during a visit to Prof. Pantami at his office in Abuja on Friday.
He said Gombe needs a leader who will bring real value to the people beyond road construction, describing Pantami as a resilient and competent leader whose track record is recognized locally and globally.
“Everyone knows that Professor Pantami is a resilient and committed person whose competence is known not only in Nigeria but globally,” Bello said.
“We in Gombe State want somebody that brings value to the state, not just roads, but what exactly the people are in need of.”
Hon. Bello, who is also a real estate investor, said his decision was based on personal assessment and conviction that Pantami has the leadership qualities to transform the state.
He formally announced that he was collapsing his entire political structure across the 11 local government areas of Gombe State into Pantami’s campaign organization.
“Additionally, all of my political structures will work fully for Pantami. We will make sure that he becomes successful as the Gombe State Governor in 2027,” he declared.
He called on all his supporters and patriotic people of Gombe State to rally behind Pantami to actualize the ambition.
“Because he is the kind of person who, once you meet, you’ll know that he deserves to be Governor of Gombe State. That is why all patriotic people of Gombe State should support him towards the actualisation of this noble cause,” he added.
The endorsement is seen as a major boost for Prof. Pantami, who holds the traditional title of Wazirin Gombe, as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) begins early alignments ahead of the 2027 polls.
