Kano Activist Offers N1m Reward For Proof Of One Direct Benefit Of Subsidy Removal

The Chairman of the Kano First Intellectual Progressive Movement (KFIPM), Dr. Usman Muhammad Abdulhamid (Presido), has placed a N1 million bounty on verifiable achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, challenging supporters to prove the impact of its two most debated policies in Kano.

In a video message that has gone viral on social media, Dr. Abdulhamid said Nigerians are no longer moved by political slogans and campaign songs, but want concrete reasons to support the government ahead of the 2027 elections.

He divided the challenge into two parts, with N500,000 attached to each question.

For the first N500,000, he asked supporters of the administration to mention just one direct, tangible benefit that the ordinary poor Nigerian is enjoying today as a direct result of fuel subsidy removal.

For the second N500,000, he challenged them to name one single project worth N10 billion in Kano State that was conceptualized, initiated, started and completed by President Tinubu in his current tenure.

According to him, the questions are simple but fundamental to the demand for accountability.

He said, “Give us reasons why we should re-elect this government. People are no longer easily fooled. You cannot get them to vote for you with campaign songs alone. You must give them a reason.”

Dr. Abdulhamid vowed to pay N1 million instantly to anyone who can answer both questions correctly with verifiable evidence.

The challenge comes amid growing public debate over the economic hardship following the removal of fuel subsidy and calls by northern stakeholders for more visible federal presence in Kano State.
