Omo-Agege Threatens, Says ‘It Is Rig And Die, No Court This Time’
2027: We Will Kill Whoever Rigs Election — Omo-Agege Threatens, Says ‘It Is Rig And Die, No Court This Time’
Former Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege has threatened that anyone who rigs the 2027 general election will be killed.
The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) chieftain, who is contesting the Delta Central Senatorial seat, issued the threat at a political gathering.
“I want to make the news again. Anybody who rigs the election on that day, we will kill him! If you don’t value your life, come and rig the election,” he said.
“They’re rigging your future. They’re rigging the future of your children. We’re waiting for them. Let them try it. It is rig and die. We’re going to give them aura for aura. There’s no court this time. We’re going to fight.”
Omo-Agege had contested the last governorship election under the All Progressives Congress (APC) but lost to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The governor had defected to the APC, where he is seeking reelection.
Following the defection of the governor, Omo-Agege sought to return to the Senate under the APC but lost the ticket to incumbent David Dafinone.
He had defected to the NDC, vowing to unseat Dafinone.
He had said back in May: “Today, I formally announce my decision to join the Nigeria Democratic Congress [NDC]… I am convinced that the NDC offers the clearest path to advance the interests of Delta Central, Delta State, and Nigeria.”
