Tinubu Support Group BAT-KOHrrect To Feed 1,000 Vulnerable Families

A pro-President Bola Tinubu support group, BAT-KOHrrect, has announced plans to distribute food items and essential relief materials to 1,000 vulnerable families as it commended the President’s economic policies on the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.

The group said the planned outreach was intended to support the Federal Government’s poverty alleviation efforts, while urging Nigerians to remain patient with the administration’s economic reforms.

In a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Victor Ganzallo, and obtained by The PUNCH on Sunday, BAT-KOHrrect said the intervention would target vulnerable families in selected communities, describing the initiative as “a demonstration that nation-building is a collective task.”

The group also praised Tinubu’s handling of the economy, arguing that his administration had taken difficult decisions in pursuit of long-term prosperity despite the economic challenges it inherited.

“We use this occasion to unequivocally commend His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu, GCFR, for his courageous, reform-driven, and people-centred efforts to make life better for ordinary Nigerians,” the statement said.

BAT-KOHrrect cited the expansion of social investment programmes and conditional cash transfers, the presidential palliative programme, wage awards, the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation, agricultural investments and support for small businesses as evidence of the administration’s poverty alleviation efforts.

“These interventions are clear evidence that the Renewed Hope Agenda is not just a slogan, but a deliberate and practical roadmap to lift millions out of poverty and restore Nigeria’s economic dignity,” the group said.

Announcing its planned intervention, the group said, “In practical support of the Federal Government’s poverty alleviation drive, and in the spirit of this international day, BAT-KOHrrect will be carrying out a humanitarian outreach to distribute food items, staples, and essential relief materials to 1,000 vulnerable families in selected communities.”

It added, “This outreach is our token of solidarity with Mr President and a demonstration that nation-building is a collective task.”

The group made the announcement to coincide with the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, observed annually on October 17, which it said offered an opportunity to renew collective efforts towards a more inclusive and prosperous Nigeria.

BAT-KOHrrect described itself as a grassroots socio-political movement and citizens’ support network established around support for Tinubu and his administration.

Explaining its name and mission, the group said it was committed to correcting what it described as false narratives about the government and directing citizens towards information on its policies and achievements.

“The name is our philosophy: We stand to correct the false narratives, to correct the distortions about governance, and to direct the people towards correct information about the policies and achievements of the Renewed Hope administration,” the statement said.

It listed grassroots mobilisation and civic education, media advocacy, youth and women’s empowerment, humanitarian service, and good governance and accountability among its areas of focus.

The group also called on Nigerians to remain hopeful, patient and united, acknowledging that poverty eradication would take time.

“The journey to eradicate poverty is not an overnight one, but with consistent reforms and collective support, we will get there,” it said.
