2027 Presidency: APC’s Morka Blasts Kwankwaso, Says Opposition Trading With Power It Doesn’t Have

The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Felix Morka, has slammed Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso over his comments on the 2027 presidential election.

Kwankwaso, running mate to Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, had on Monday urged former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to withdraw from the presidential race and support the Obi-Kwankwaso ticket in 2027.

He asked Atiku to step aside, citing his age and health, and said the former vice-president would be “taken care of” if the NDC wins the election.

Reacting in an X post on Saturday, Morka said the opposition was negotiating with a presidency it is yet to win.

“At last, the veil comes off … behold the whited sepulchre … they pretend to be saints on the outside but filled with stench of corruption and malignant hypocrisy on the inside,” Morka wrote.

Morka said Nigerian voters would determine the outcome of the 2027 presidential election, adding that the opposition would not emerge victorious.

“Horse trading with the presidency they do not have, and will not have, by the sovereign will of the Nigerian electorate, come 2027,” the APC spokesman said.

Atiku, who will turn 81 next year, has said the 2027 election will be his final attempt at the presidency.
