EFCC Arrests Suspended City Boy Movement Women Leader, Halimat Tejuosho
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, the suspended South-West zonal coordinator of the City Boy Movement’s women wing, over an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence.
EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale confirmed the arrest, saying Tejuosho was taken into custody on September 8 and remains in the commission’s custody.
Her arrest came months after the anti-graft agency declared her wanted over an ongoing investigation into alleged fraud.
The EFCC had declared Tejuosho wanted in April, alleging that she obtained money from individuals by claiming she could secure federal government appointments and lucrative contracts for them.
The commission had earlier questioned her in June 2025 following complaints linked to an alleged appointment and contract scam. Investigators alleged that fake appointment letters and forged documents were used to convince victims that she could facilitate government appointments and contracts.
Tejuosho, identified as the founder of Haleems Integrated Services Limited, was later granted administrative bail while the investigation continued.
Following the EFCC’s declaration, the City Boy Movement suspended her as its South-West zonal coordinator of the women wing, saying the decision was intended to protect the group’s credibility and allow the investigation to proceed without interference.
The City Boy Movement is a youth-focused political advocacy group that supports President Bola Tinubu’s administration and the Renewed Hope Agenda.
