“Nobody Paid Me” — Moofy Dumps Pantami, Declares Full Support For APC’s Jamilu Gwamna

Popular entertainer, voice actress and content creator Hauwa Musa Abdullahi, widely known as Moofy, has officially confirmed her defection from PDP governorship aspirant, Prof. Ali Isa Pantami to APC governorship candidate, Dr. Jamilu Isyaku Gwamna.

Moofy, who addressed her followers in a 5-minute video statement, said the decision followed intense social media backlash and insults triggered by a viral photograph of her with Gwamna.

Clarifying that she runs her page herself and takes full responsibility for whatever she posts, the Kano-born influencer said no one paid or forced her to support Pantami in the past and no one has bought her over now.

“When I came out to support Mallam Pantami, did anyone pay me? Did anyone force me? Nobody. I did it out of love and respect for him,” she said. “Today if I say I want to support Jamilu, it does not mean I have been bought. Nobody paid me.”

According to her, she had the opportunity to meet Jamilu Gwamna, listen to him, understand his agenda for Gombe State and she was convinced.

The content creator dismissed claims that the viral photo was AI-generated, insisting it was real.

“I met Jamilu Gwamna and I took a photo with him, it is not AI. It is Mufi and Jamilu Gwamna. Taking a photo with someone is not a crime,” she said.

Moofy said she remains neutral and respects people’s right to support any candidate, but she will no longer be judged for choosing to listen to another aspirant. She described herself as a woman of strong conviction who does not go back on her word.

“I am with Jamilu from now until God grants him victory. I will not disrespect Pantami because I still respect him, he is like a father and a Mallam to me,” she added, vowing not to retaliate against insults from any camp.

She called on her followers in Gombe to allow her do what she feels is right, saying she will continue to use her voice and platform to support Jamilu Gwamna.
