Trump Calls ICC ‘Out Of Control, Rogue’, Urges Member Nations To Quit Court
Former United States President Donald Trump has criticised the International Criminal Court [ICC], calling it an out-of-control, criminal institution that the United States has no respect for.
He said, “We will never allow US service members or anyone else to be investigated or given show trials by an anti-American tribunal with no jurisdiction over us.”
Trump further urged all ICC member nations to immediately leave what he described as a rogue institution.
The former president also said his administration has reached an unprecedented agreement regarding the northern frontier of North America, or the large and strategically vital piece of land known as Greenland.
According to him, the agreement was made with the Kingdom of Denmark and the people of Greenland and gives the US the ability to develop a large military presence by building two major military bases. He said the move will protect the American continent as well as Europe, and strengthen NATO.
In his address to the UN General Assembly, Trump also reiterated his stance against reining in artificial intelligence despite multiple calls from experts to slow down its development.
Calling it super intelligence, Trump said the US rejects a globalist scheme to control AI. He said the use of the word artificial makes intelligence sound fake, and it is not fake. He described it as amazing.
Trump said all US documents will be changed to use the much more accurate term super, instead of artificial. He said, “Welcome to the new world of super intelligence slash SI.”
He said the US would encourage rather than rein in the technology. According to him, the United States leads the world in super intelligence and will continue to do so safely and responsibly.
He added that Americans have never been a nation that retreats from a frontier or shrinks from a challenge, no matter how great or how daunting that challenge may be.
