VIRAL VIDEO: Nigerian Man Who Has Been Begging In Italy For 9 Years Says He Built House, Trained Son In University With Begging Money

A Nigerian man living in Italy for 9 years has sparked massive debate online after revealing what he has achieved abroad doing “Sheroti” — begging on the streets of Europe.

In a street interview, the man was asked: “What is your achievement in Italy? Like what you have achieved for 9 years?”

He replied proudly: “What I have achieved in Italy is this: I built my own house. I take care of my children.”

He said Italy is much better than Nigeria. “Italy is much better than Nigeria. Abroad is much better than Nigeria. Let me say 90%,” he said.

When asked what he does for a living, he openly admitted: “Sheroti.” After repeating it three times, the interviewer said it’s not bad as far as he knows what he is doing.

The man said he uses the money from sheroti to send to his children at home. He said he is a father of four — two boys, two girls — and he talks to them everyday.

“I take care of my children very well, very well, very well. Both my wife and all,” he said.

He revealed his first son is already in university, while the other is in SS3, all funded from his begging hustle in Italy. He added that he doesn’t drink, doesn’t smoke, which is why he is able to save and spoil his family.

When asked if he would return to Nigeria if President Tinubu gives him 50 million Naira, the man dismissed the idea completely.

“Our president cannot give us 50 million. That one will not work. No president… like here, there is no president in Nigeria,” he said.

Asked further, he insisted: “No. Right from many years ago. So, we are just there for… for nothing’s sake. There’s no president.”

He also said he has only one wife, because of his sickness.

The interviewer praised him, saying some people come abroad and waste money, but this man is using sheroti to take care of his children — one in university, one in SS3 — because he knows what he is doing and doesn’t drink or smoke.
